Author’s guidelines
Submission Types
The conference welcomes three categories of submissions:
Full Research Papers
Completed research presenting original theoretical, empirical, or methodological contributions. Accepted papers will be eligible for publication in the EBTSF Conference Proceedings.
Extended Abstracts
Short submissions presenting conceptual ideas, preliminary findings, methodological approaches, or research-in-progress intended to stimulate scholarly discussion and feedback.
Doctoral Symposium Papers
PhD candidates are invited to submit extended abstracts describing their doctoral research projects, research design, or early-stage findings. The Doctoral Symposium provides a forum for mentoring and academic exchange with senior scholars.
Author Guidelines
General Requirements
All submissions must:
- be written in English;
- represent original and unpublished work not under consideration elsewhere;
- include title, abstract, keywords, author affiliations, and corresponding author contact information;
- follow the official EBTSF submission templates.
Authors may submit a maximum of two contributions.
Only accepted and presented papers will be included in the conference publications.

Manuscript Length
Full Papers
Maximum 12 pages, including references and appendices (approx. 4,000–6,000 words).
Extended Abstracts
Maximum 3 pages, including references (approx. 1,200–1,800 words).
Doctoral Symposium Papers
Maximum 6 pages, including references and appendices (approx. 2,000–3,000 words).
Submission Procedure
All manuscripts must be submitted via the EBTSF 2026 EasyChair submission system.
To ensure anonymity in the review process, authors must upload an anonymous manuscript file identified only by the paper title.
Submissions may be uploaded in DOCX or PDF format.
Templates are provided for:
- Full Research Papers (Word template; LaTeX template)
- Extended Abstracts (Word template; LaTeX template)
- Doctoral Symposium Papers (Word template; LaTeX template)
Peer-Review Process
All submissions undergo a double-blind peer-review process coordinated by the Scientific Committee.
Each manuscript is typically evaluated by at least two independent reviewers.
Evaluation criteria include:
- originality and academic relevance
- methodological rigor and research design
- clarity and structure of the manuscript
- contribution to theory, practice, or policy
Based on reviewers’ recommendations, submissions may be accepted, accepted with revisions, or rejected.
Authors normally receive review feedback within three weeks.

Paper submission
Complete research papers to be submitted should have completed analyses and documentation of results.
Naming:
Anonymous file should be named after the title of the paper
(Example: Title of the paper.docx).
Length of the paper (including tables, figures and references):
Up to 12 pages for full papers
Format and Paragraph:
Papers must be submitted in .doc or .docx format. The electronic review system will only accept files in DOC/DOCX format.
A4 format, Margins: left, right, top, bottom: 2.5 cm
Portrait all pages (landscape orientation is not allowed)
Font: Times New Roman, size 12
Single line and paragraph spacing (one line space between paragraphs)
Do not add page numbering
References (in alphabetical order):
References must be in Harvard style and carefully checked for completeness, accuracy and consistency.

The extended abstract of a research proposal should serve as a succinct summary of the proposed project, outlining the research problem, questions, methods, expected outcomes, and significance. It should be written in a clear and concise style while emphasizing the novel contribution and originality of the proposed research.

Up to 3 pages for Extended abstract
Format and Paragraph:

The purpose of EBTSF26’s Doctoral Symposium is to provide PhD and master students a forum where they can present and discuss their research in progress and debate their research with a panel of scholars. The Doctoral Symposium is an excellent opportunity for PhD students to present and discuss their work in a Workshop format. All the submissions will be published in conference proceedings as PhD students papers.
The Doctoral Symposium is opened to PhD and master students whose research area includes the themes proposed for this Conference.
Submissions should be maximum 6 pages, following the Conference style guide.
Submissions must include the theme, the PhD institution and the number of months devoted to the development of the work. Indicative structure of the submissions is:
- The problem approached and its significance or relevance
- The research objectives and related investigation topics
- A brief display of what is already known
- A proposed solution methodology for the problem
- Expected results
